Ecology teaches us that the Earth’s biosphere is the sum total of all the Earth’s ecosystems and is comprised of a complex interaction between the Hydrosphere (water), Lithosphere (Earth), Atmosphere (Air).
Astrology and the Native American medicine wheel teaches us of 4 Elements which are Air, Earth, Water and Fire (Chinese medicine includes Metal and Wood).
To me it becomes obvious that the biosphere model is missing Fire and I think, like what Harry Dean Stanton says, that’s where the Noosphere steps in.
Noosphere: A postulated sphere or stage of evolutionary development dominated by consciousness, the mind, and interpersonal relationships (frequently with reference to the writings of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin).
In other words, it’s the biosphere of thought or the collective consciousness.
Throw something new into it and it suddenly has a ripple effect and people start thinking the same thing suddenly. Some people also call it the Hundredth Monkey Effect but to me, I think it’s a natural extension of evolution. I also think the internet has a huge, huge part to play in that (so long as it remains uncensored and free of course).
We like to think that *THIS*, all this stuff around us is the end of evolution but I disagree completely with that assessment.
Evolution by itself, means that change is the name of the game and that we will continue to evolve. In terms of how that will happen, your guess is as good as mine. Some people say it will be a few more thousand years before our pinky toes disappear completely.
Other groups claim that new chakra centers will open up in the body including a lovely pink one.
All I can say with any semblance of certainty is that this month is some sort of a cosmic opening. The stars are telling us as much. I’m not going to be blogging very much this month since I have other projects which I’m polishing up on but I’ll end with this: Throw in your most wildly utopian, idealistic, outlandishly evolved, hopelessly romantic thoughts. You just never know how it will be picked up 😉
